A Day In The Life Of...

Amongst a sea of other whack theories, here’s one proposition.

Do you guys think it would have been possible for Calliope or Caliborn to just “flip their sprite” to get rid of the chain? Look at these two images from the comic:

In THIS image Calliope has the chain on her left leg.

And in THIS one she has the chain on her RIGHT leg.

So obviously flipping the sprite will also flip the chain. So I was thinking, this could have been the one line that would change the history of Homestuck: 

“The chain has really started to get on your nerves. All of your nerves. All of them. You notice that it somehow moved from your left to your right leg when you turned from your computer.

An idea pops into your head.

You wonder if you can just…

Just sort of lift your leg up….

And…”

And then bam, Calliope’s free. Now, I understand there’s a lot more to deal with after that and Caliborn can still come back when she sleeps, but it could still be worth a try.

So, having nothing better to do with a quiet evening, I decided to play guitar.

And it was fantastic.

My fingers were all numb, but I got to play again all the songs I had been neglecting, and used to play all the time in high school after I got back from class and wasn’t hanging out with anyone (Every day…).

Brought back just so many memories!

And so many calluses. This is going to be fun. =)

I also can’t believe how much the feels hit me when I play a particularly heartfelt song. Like I know my voice sucks but it’s beyond enjoyable to just feel the raw emotion and express it. Though I have to keep quiet with flatmates around. 

I did run into trouble finding tabs and chords for some less famous songs that I’d like to sing =/ looks like I’ll have to do the transcribing now. Oddly enough, I look forward to it. 

I’ll probably also be posting more self and texts posts in the near future. Gonna try out this whole “blog” thing after having a tumblr for years and mainly just using it to keep funny photos that I don’t want to bookmark oh look a spider. Gotta take care of this.

Fresh Princess of Winterfell

Now this is the story all about how

My life got flipped, turned upside down.

And I’d like for you to sit and listen while I tell

You what happened to the Starks after leaving Winterfell.

In the North of Westeros, born and raised.

Winterfell is where I spent most of my days.

Sewing, and knitting, but that wasn’t fun.

Coulda done more archery if I were born a son.

Til my brother Bran saw twin Lannisters in bed.

Then a bunch of shit went down and my father lost his head.

They started one small war and I had to cut my hair.

Now I’m headed to the Wall to meet my half brother there.

Got captured by the Mountain and sent to Harrenhal,

The torturer was mean and he could have killed us all.

If anything I could say that his death will not be far,

And that’s when I met my new homes, Jaqen H’ghar!

I gave three names for him and after we escaped,

He handed me a coin, said “Yo, homes smell you later!”

“But what do I do with this, I’m totally clueless!”

He looked me dead in the eye and whispered “Valar Morghulis.”
